Leading the Way in Workplace Safety: Thamara Jones Represents Cable Bahamas in National OSHA Dialogue

Please join us in congratulating Thamara Jones, our Technical Operations & Safety Manager, for her outstanding contribution to a landmark initiative shaping the future of workplace safety in The Bahamas.

Over the course of two impactful days, Thamara stood alongside representatives from the Ministry of Labour, the International Labour Organization (ILO), HSE professionals, and other key stakeholders to review and advance the Health and Safety at Work Act. Her participation and leadership in these discussions reflect not only her expertise but also her commitment to creating safer, more resilient working environments across our nation.

What made this moment especially powerful was the chance to reflect on how far we’ve come as a company. Thanks to the vision of our executive team and Thamara’s steadfast leadership, Cable Bahamas proudly stands among the top 1% in the Caribbean with ISO certification—demonstrating our ongoing commitment to occupational safety and health.

As the revised Act moves toward ratification, we are proud that Cable Bahamas was not just present but actively engaged in helping to shape national policy. Thamara’s role in this transformative dialogue speaks volumes about the calibre of talent we have within our organization.

Well done, Thamara. Your passion and professionalism continue to inspire us all.
