iGNITEHer on Bahamas at Sunrise

We’re continuing the conversation around creating more opportunities for young women in STEM.

Shakera Johnson, Director of Information Security at Cable Bahamas, and Taja Longley, Senior Communications Coordinator, recently joined Bahamas at Sunrise to discuss iGNITE HER and why programs like this are important for young women.

The conversation explored how early exposure to fields such as coding, artificial intelligence, robotics, cybersecurity and engineering can broaden a young girl’s understanding of what is possible for her future. By introducing participants to new career paths, practical skills and women working within these industries, iGNITE HER aims to help them make more informed choices about their education and future careers.
