We’re taking a deeper look at how we are empowering the next generation of women in STEM.
Taja Longley, Senior Communications Coordinator at Cable Bahamas, and Crachad Laing, Director of Happy STEM Bahamas, recently joined Jerome Sawyer on On the Record for a deep dive into iGNITEHer, an exciting new program created by the Cable Bahamas Cares Foundation in partnership with Happy STEM Bahamas.
The 13-week STEM, innovation and leadership experience will equip 20 young women entering Grades 9 to 12 with hands-on exposure to coding, artificial intelligence, robotics, cybersecurity, engineering, CAD and 3D modelling, along with mentorship and opportunities to build their confidence.
The conversation also explores how iGNITEHer connects with iNSPIREHER, Cable Bahamas’ flagship annual women’s platform, and expands its mission by creating meaningful opportunities for young women to learn, lead and transform their potential into reality.
