This month, ALIV is partnering with the Ministry of Education, Science & Technology to recognize and reward the people at the heart of education in The Bahamas. Through a series of community-driven digital challenges, ambitious students, inspiring public-school teachers and dedicated parents will have opportunities to win prizes that help ease the pressures of the back-to-school season.
The initiative forms part of ALIV’s continued commitment to strengthening Bahamian communities. As the company marks its 10th anniversary, the campaign is also a meaningful way to thank the people who have supported ALIV throughout its journey while investing in the generation that will shape the country’s future.
Helping Families Prepare for the School Year
While the back-to-school season can be an exciting time, it can also bring added financial pressure for families. From purchasing uniforms, supplies and technology to covering other school-related necessities, the expenses can quickly add up.

Rewarding Ambitious Students
Students will be invited to submit a short video sharing their goals for the upcoming school year and explaining how they plan to achieve them.
Selected students will receive prizes designed to support their education and help them begin the year prepared to succeed, including tech, gift certificates and more. The challenge will give students an opportunity to think intentionally about their aspirations while inspiring others to approach the new school year with purpose.
Celebrating Inspiring Teachers
Behind every thriving student is often a teacher who has encouraged, challenged or inspired them along the way.
Through the Reward a Teacher challenge, students, parents, colleagues, administrators and community members will have an opportunity to nominate outstanding public-school teachers. Several selected educators will each receive $500 in recognition of their commitment and the meaningful impact they make in the lives of their students.
Recognizing Dedicated Parents
Parents and guardians also play an essential role in helping students reach their full potential. From preparing school supplies and assisting with homework to offering daily encouragement, their support helps create the foundation children need to thrive.
Through the Reward a Parent challenge, several deserving parents will receive gift cards and cash prizes that can be used toward back-to-school necessities. The prizes will recognize the commitment and sacrifices parents make to support their children’s education.
