Honoring Our Everyday Heroes: ALIV Celebrates Nurses Across Nassau

This Nurses Month, ALIV took to the streets of Nassau with a heart full of gratitude and a trunk full of treats, delivering sweet surprises to the incredible nurses who form the backbone of our healthcare system.

From the early hours of the morning, ALIV team members visited healthcare institutions across the island—including Elizabeth Estates Clinic, Sandilands Rehabilitation Centre, Flamingo Gardens Clinic, Spectrum Surgical Clinic, and Princess Margaret Hospital. At each stop, we set up our nurse’s pit-stop: breakfast bagels, pastries, and refreshing bottled water, all thoughtfully prepared to fuel the hardworking professionals powering through their shifts.

This was a moment to mirror the care nurses give daily – a small act of kindness in return for a million unseen ones.

“We believe in the power of showing up—not just through our services but through acts of gratitude,” shared Amber Carey, Vice President of Marketing and Consumer Services at Cable Bahamas Group of Companies. “Our nurses have long carried the weight of care across this country with grace, strength, and endurance. It’s important that we highlight and uplift the members of our community who are working overtime, reminding them they are deeply valued.”

At Elizabeth Estates Clinic, RN Ingrid Seymour echoed the impact of the visit, simply saying, “Thank you for remembering us.” It was a sentiment that resonated across every location visited.

This initiative was just one of the many ways ALIV continues to reinforce its commitment to community—not just through technology, but human connectivity. Whether we are giving back in big or small ways, we are always seeking ways to uplift our communities.
