This year marked the 40th Annual CANTO Conference & Trade Exhibition and there was no better place to host than in The Bahamas. As proud sponsors & participants, we embraced the opportunity to not only represent our country but to showcase the innovation, leadership, and collaborative spirit that define Cable Bahamas Ltd & ALIV.
From the vibrant sessions to the chance encounters in the networking halls, this week offered an incredible platform to exchange ideas, strengthen partnerships, and demonstrate our impact in the regional telecom landscape.
Our executives made their mark across multiple panels, sharing insight on everything from 5G readiness to fintech resilience, and the power of inclusion in digital transformation:
- At Karibbean Kitchen: A Seat at the Table, our very own Hyacinth T. Smith and Tracey Boucher shed light on the “woman” behind the title, bringing a fresh perspective to the conversation around women in ICT.
- In the 5G Relevance and Solutions session, Dr. Stephen Curran helped steer a regional dialogue around infrastructure and innovation.
- And Dwayne A. Davis brought clarity and confidence to the Telecom Meets Finance panel, unpacking the telecom-fintech connection in building secure digital ecosystems.
We were also honored to be recognized with multiple Ookla® Speedtest Awards, a testament to the investments we continue to make in network reliability and performance for Bahamians across the country.
And how better to close it all out than with a Bahamian-style celebration? Our CANTO 2025 Closing Reception at John Watling’s Distillery was a true sendoff—filled with music, connection, and pride for what we’ve accomplished together.
To our team: thank you for showing up and showing out. Your thought leadership continues to shape what’s next.
To CANTO: we can’t wait for 41!
