Cable Bahamas Hosts Drive with Great Commission Ministries to Provide Vital Support to Bahamian Families

In a powerful demonstration of corporate and community collaboration, we recently joined forces with Great Commission Ministries to host a donation drive aimed at supporting vulnerable individuals and families across New Providence.

Cable Bahamas employees came together from departments across the organization to donate boxes filled with critical necessities for many in the community who struggle to access them daily.

“This initiative was a heartfelt initiative for Cable Bahamas,” said Larissa Delancy, Strategic Partnerships & Events Coordinator. “We had employees from all different departments donate essential items that so many persons don’t have the opportunity to access on a day-to-day basis. We take these things for granted. This is why we decided to partner with Great Commission – because this is what they do.”

The Great Commission Ministries team emphasized the value of presence and human connection in service to others.

“We serve hot, delicious meals to 450-600 persons every day,” said Dr. Tamalia Gibson, Executive Director of Great Commission Ministries. “A lot of times people want to be active in giving back. You want to donate financially, donate groceries…but you also want to have a role in smiling with someone, giving them a handshake, a hug or an encouraging word.”

As Great Commission Ministries continues to expand its outreach and deepen its impact, Cable Bahamas is proud to stand alongside them in ongoing partnership. Together, we remain committed to meeting the needs of our people.
