Cable Bahamas Group Donates $10,000 to Marsh Harbour Volunteer Fire & Rescue to Support Ongoing Relief Efforts

MARSH HARBOUR, ABACO – June 4th, 2025 – Cable Bahamas Group is reinforcing its commitment to the resilience and recovery of the Marsh Harbour community through a $10,000 donation and one year of complimentary connectivity services to Marsh Harbour Volunteer Fire & Rescue. This contribution will support ongoing relief and restoration efforts following the recent fire that devastated both residential and commercial areas. 

Members of Cable Bahamas team travelled to Abaco to personally deliver the donation and express the company’s continued solidarity with the community. Among the team members were Franklyn Butler II, CEO & President and Amber Carey, Vice President of Marketing & Consumer Services. They were accompanied by Chantelle Sands, President of the Abaco Chamber of Commerce.  

“This donation is a powerful reminder that community resilience is built on partnership,” said Sands.  “When business leaders step up to support those who serve on the front lines, we all benefit.” 

This visit follows the team’s initial visit to Abaco during the aftermath of the fire. Franklyn Butler II and members of the executive team conducted an emergency site visit to provide ground support and assess the safety of our facilities.  

“Abaco has shown tremendous resilience time and time again, and we are always happy to play a role in supporting its continued recovery,” said Butler. “We deeply respect the first responders who risked their lives during the fire and this donation is our way of honoring their courage, bolstering their resources, and standing in solidarity with the people of Marsh Harbour as they rebuild and move forward.”
