Cable Bahamas Cares: Fueling Compassion with a $10,000 Gift to the Bahamas Humane Society

In a powerful show of community support, the Cable Bahamas Cares Foundation has donated $10,000 to the Bahamas Humane Society, helping fund a much-needed emergency vehicle that will transform how the nonprofit responds to animal welfare calls across the nation.

Unveiled during a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the Humane Society’s Chippingham Headquarters, the donation is a signal of renewed energy and partnership between local businesses and the organizations that quietly serve the community every day.

Speed Saves Lives

The Bahamas Humane Society has long been a trusted name in animal care and advocacy. But in urgent situations, time is everything. The new emergency vehicle will give the Society the speed and mobility it needs to respond faster to distress calls: from rescuing a stray or assisting an injured pet to responding to animal cruelty reports. It’s a step that improves not just animal welfare, but public health.

Kindness in Action

Kim Aranha, President of the Bahamas Humane Society, called the gift “a perfect display of generosity, kindness, and giving, which isn’t prevalent nowadays.” She also credited her team, including Anabeth Maura, for championing the cause from within.

Moving Forward with Cable Bahamas Cares Foundation

“Whether it’s connecting families, supporting businesses, or lending a hand to organizations like the Bahamas Humane Society, our mission is to show up for every corner of the community and make a meaningful difference wherever we can,” said Amber Carey, Vice President of Marketing & Consumer Solutions at Cable Bahamas Group.

That spirit is fueling the next chapter for the Cable Bahamas Cares Foundation, as the Group revamps its charitable arm with renewed purpose. With fresh momentum, they’re gearing up to launch new partnerships and grants, aiming to expand their impact and reach even more communities across The Bahamas.
