ALIV Supports AI-Ready Bahamas For Next Generation

This past weekend, the ALIV team participated in an Artificial Intelligence in Education Summit hosted at Windsor School Bahamas, joining educators and industry professionals in discussions centered on building an AI-ready Bahamas.

The summit emphasized the importance of equipping educators with the knowledge and skills to responsibly navigate an increasingly technology-driven world. Teachers were encouraged to embrace artificial intelligence as a tool for innovation while maintaining ethical standards in its use.

Tattianna Armbrister, Junior Information Security and Compliance Analyst at Cable Bahamas, Ltd.

Representing ALIV at the event was Tattianna Ambrister, Junior Information Security and Compliance Analyst, who delivered an insightful presentation on artificial intelligence. In her remarks, Armbrister spoke candidly about her initial reservations toward AI, sharing that she and some of her colleagues, were once hesitant about adopting the technology. She noted that she has also encountered individuals that she works with closely who remain resistant to using AI.

However, Armbrister highlighted the reality of an evolving digital landscape, emphasizing that artificial intelligence will inevitably play a role in the future. She reflected on the next generation, noting that even her own daughter will one day need to understand and utilize AI as part of everyday life.

In support of advancing technology education and empowering future innovators, ALIV also contributed a $5,000 donation to Windsor School Bahamas. This investment is aimed at strengthening the school’s efforts along with Mr. Tom Millinchip who is an educator at the school to prepare for a future shaped by artificial intelligence.

Through initiatives like this, ALIV continues to demonstrate its commitment to the development of The Bahamas and its youth, helping to lay the foundation for a smarter, more innovative and AI-ready nation.
